SHADING & DRAPERY is the sixth in a series of eight classical life drawing video workshops.

SHADING & DRAPERY provides both female and male nude models plus draperd fabric posing in real-time for maximum viewer participation. No need to rewind.

This video approximates a live classroom situation, and includes split-screen demos and examples of student work at different levels.

SHADING & DRAPERY provides basic techniques including use of the light source, hatching, and simplifying by "mapping'" the shadow and/or light shapes.

• Materials needed for SHADING & DRAPERY

• Newsprint, sketch or drawing paper, approx. 18” x 24”

• Vine and/or compressed charcoal, charcoal pencil or Conté.

• White or light colored chalk, Conté stick or pencil

• Chamois cloth, clean rag or soft paper towel

• Kneaded eraser
